Charter of services
In carrying out its institutional activity, the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi is inspired by the "fundamental principles" listed in the Directive of the President of the Council of Ministers of January 27, 1994. All services are based on the principle of equality, guaranteeing equal treatment to all citizens, regardless of nationality, sex, language, religion, political belief. The Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi guarantees continuity and regularity in providing its services. Otherwise, the Museum will inform users in advance, trying to keep inconvenience to the minimum and to find forms of compensation like discounts on ticket prices.
The Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi promotes information regarding the activity it carries out, taking into account advice and suggestions from the users. The aim of the director and staff of the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services, adopting the procedural solution they deem most appropriate.
The institutional mission of the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Mansi is to preserve, research, protect, improve, make available to the public and promote the knowledge of Lucca’s artistic heritage. The Museum’s ticket office also works as an information point and can give out free brochures and informative material, also available in English.
Educational services
The educational services for the Museums and Territory of the province of Lucca propose to all the schools in the province a range of didactic tours aimed at making the most of the students’ experience at the Museum.
Like in the past years, the goal of these didactic services is to let students of all ages get in touch, in a vital and fruitful way, with the two National Museums in Lucca (the Museo di Villa Guinigi and the Museo di Palazzo Mansi) and with the historic and artistic heritage of the city and its territory.
Our long experience in this field has allowed us to expand and improve our range of tours, each made up of several meetings centered not only on the history of Lucca but also on an overview of the evolution of Italian and European history, culture and art.
Such aspects are then compared with the most significant local episodes and examples.
The whole project has been funded by the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca and is promoted and coordinated by the Monuments and Fine Arts Office (Soprintendenza per i Beni Architettonici, Paesaggistici, Storici, Artistici ed Etnoantropologici) for the provinces of Lucca and Massa Carrara.
